HSMA will provide "turf" for people in our "universe" who are targets that we need to reach with our campaign messaging. Volunteers will knock targeted doors in your assigned turf to speak to voters. Before each shift we will provide literature and training on how to talk to voters.

HSMA will provide "turf" for people in our "universe" who are targets that we need to reach with our campaign messaging. Volunteers will knock targeted doors in your assigned turf to speak to voters. Before each shift we will provide literature and training on how to talk to voters. Canvassing does require significant walking. We are open to letting volunteers pair up for their first shift to get used to canvassing.
If you have never canvassed, don't worry! We know a lot of us can be nervous talking to voters for the first time, that is normal. By using voting records, we will be strategic with our universe of targeted voters so you won't be talking to people who are openly politically opposed to our message. Canvassing can be FUN especially when talking about the issue we care about-- FEEDING KIDS HEALTHY SCHOOL MEALS FOR ALL!
